A little "Yogi-ism goes a long way!Thank You!I guess if if I was so bothered by crowds Yogi would have said,"I should have stood in bed !" (Which he did say on another subject). But on a more positive note, the sheer diversity of people and "Good Vibes"reinforced that the place we have chosen to live since 1974 is the best place in Akron.Including Akron And anyone outside of this area in the Festival is an example that other communities should follow for their own gatherings despite Their differences from others. |

I'd be remiss if I didn't quote Yogi..."Nobody goes there anymore...it's too crowded." |

I had a great time this year. The bands were diverse and there were some great vendors. It was crowded, but I didn't have any problems with it. |

My wife and I went in the morning and afternoon.I remember when there were flatbed trucks at Portage Path and around Casterton/ Highland area, with bands on each. There was really a street festival feel similar to Coventry Heights Street festivals.I noticed immediately the increase in people, and was glad. But with dogs, strollers, and inconsiderate people( Can people on Cell Phones even pull aside in dense foot traffic},foot traffic was severely restricted. I know there are huge logistical problems with closing off the street, but given the volume of visitors this should be looked into for next year. by the way,My wife was impressed enough to consider getting her own booth for her handmade purses and dolls next year. |

The festival today was by far 20xs better than any Hardesty Park art festival I have attended. There was something for everybody and what a fabulous turnout. I really enjoyed it, thank you to the organizers. I think they need to close off the street like they did many years ago for the event. They can do it for bigwigs Halloween party, don't know why they cant do it for the little people. Thanks again |
